BRCGS Overview
The Standard has been developed to specify the product safety, quality and operational criteria that must be in place within a packaging manufacturing organisation in order for it to fulfil its obligations with regard to legal compliance and protection of the consumer.
The format is designed to allow a company’s premises, operational systems and procedures to be assessed against the requirements of the Standard by a competent third party – the certification body.
What we do
Here at Meridian, we maintain compliance with the requirements of BRCGS Packaging materials, Issue 6 Standards and Regulations.
Meridian has held a BRCGS accreditation since 2008, ensuring we have been supplying the highest quality food-safe packaging for the last 15 years. In June 2023, we were awarded Grade ‘AA+’ certification – the highest grade possible. This certification highlights and showcases our meticulous attention to detail and the high standards of production of which everyone at Meridian is immensely proud.
