Regulatory compliance

At Meridian Speciality Packaging Ltd we operate a management system which is certified to BRC Packaging & Packaging Materials Issue 6. Copies of certificates are available on request. Finished products are high quality packaging, some of which come into direct contact with food. The nature of the materials used in the manufacture of packaging include; plain and printed virgin fibre coated/uncoated paperboard, glassine, PET, rPET, OPP, PVC, corrugated paperboard and food grade adhesive. Board is printed externally using approved sub-contractors and the printed sheets supplied back to site and converted. Films are printed externally using approved sub-contractors and the printed films are supplied back to site and converted. In the majority of cases we believe the intended use of the end product is for high quality confectionery, patisserie and bakery products. Some of our packaging may contain an element of recycled fibres. Specifications for materials/ components and declarations of compliances are available.

We are not aware of any limitations of use and further to migration testing we advise that the usable life of these products is up to 18 months. We have taken steps to ensure that all our raw materials are responsibly sourced, to ensure that robust supplier approval procedures are in place and that materials are appropriate and suitable for their intended end use. This declaration concerns only the above-mentioned materials. It does not guarantee compliance with the previously stated directives and regulations when products are used in the production of any article where chemical, physical and other treatment modifies its properties.

This declaration will be renewed when substantial changes are made to the composition of base materials and/or components, when legislation changes or when any changes which may otherwise affect the safety of above-mentioned products are made.
